The Eurokt-Akadémia Vocational School opened its gates in September of 1999. The institution operates under a regular school system, offering students a basic diploma, basic educational examinations, and intermediate and advanced specialised training based on the Hungarian matriculation examination. In 1999 the school also received its MSZ EN ISO 9001:1996 standard certification, and its IQNet membership.

The school’s daytime programs were expanded in July of 2000 to include 11 new specsialised fields (Grocery Sales Clerk, Mining Technician, Confectioner, Comestibles and Household Chemical Trade, Fast Food Sales Clerk, Meat and Meat Products Sales Clerk, Computer Science, Administrative Assistant, Cultural Articles Sales Clerk, Plastics Industry Processing, Waiter, Clothing Trade, Chef, Computer Operator/User, Iron and Technical Trade, and Hotel and Catering Sales Clerk). The explosive development of information technology, the appearance of communications media, daily use of the information superhighway, and the ever-accelerating development of the Internet have all prompted us to introduce an advanced daytime program in systems computing to this region, as well.
